Design Sprint Collaboration Project

  1. Objective: To design a collaborative platform that simplifies the process of organizing and executing design sprints, catering to teams of all sizes and disciplines.

  2. Goal: Enhance team collaboration, creativity, and productivity through intuitive design, effective communication tools, and streamlined workflows.

  3. Role: UX/UI Designer responsible for research, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.

  1. Design sprint processes often lack accessible tools for seamless collaboration, especially in remote or hybrid environments.

  2. Teams struggle with managing tasks, sharing updates, and visualizing progress in real-time.

  1. Methods Used:

    • Conducted user interviews with design teams, project managers, and product owners.

    • Created surveys to identify pain points in existing collaboration tools.

  2. Insights:

    • Users need intuitive interfaces for task assignment and tracking.

    • Visualizing workflows in real-time was a top priority for most teams.

•Remote teams emphasized the need for easy access to shared resources and centralized communication channels.

  1. Ideation:

    • Brainstormed features like:

    • Real-time visual boards.

    • Integrated chat tools.

    • Quick access to templates and guides for design sprints.

  2. Wireframes:

    • Drafted low-fidelity wireframes to test navigation and feature placement.

  1. Customizable Catalogues:

    • Search bar integration for quick access.

Users can explore and create personalized design sprint templates.

  1. Interactive Boards:

•Drag-and-drop task cards.

•Live updates for collaboration across time zones.

  1. Collections:

Users can save and share “inspiration collections” tied to specific design sprint themes.

  1. User Testing:

    • Conducted usability tests with target users.

•Gathered feedback on ease of navigation, feature discoverability, and visual appeal.

  1. Findings:

Users appreciated the simplicity of catalog and collection features but wanted clearer onboarding tutorials.

Some testers found color schemes for task status slightly confusing.

  1. Iterations:

    • Refined the color palette for accessibility compliance.
